My Journey. Beating Cancer & 20stone to a 3100 mile non stop race [Part 2]

My Journey. Beating Cancer & 20stone to a 3100 mile non stop race [Part 1]

My story with Cancer began several years ago, it was always something you heard about, something that happened to elderly or sick people I was to learn something about myself and fast. My 1st experience was with testicular cancer. I was in so much pain that I had to visit the doctor.

My Food

My Food

My Food: Your questions to me answered. The way I started to cook. As the numbers in my social media grow, I get a lot of messages about what I eat, More importantly what I did eat at the start of my journey which is probably more help than what I eat now, as I tend to stuff my little fat face before I do any challenge.

Revolve 2017 [2 of 2]

Revolve 2017 [2 of 2]

6AM and oh boy I was ready to roll out yet again, okay the lack of vision was harsh the bike lights made the mist bounce back into your face, my first lap was rather slower than I hoped for, after that though it improved a lot, quicker times as the confidence grew it was still cold, misty and darker than last year, but I felt much better, the knee was giving me the odd wiggle so I knew I had to get it looked at...

2017. Changed; A year of difference - (Part 2 of 2)

I started my training on the bike in 2017 in March, I’ll be very upfront and honest here, I really don’t like cycling in the cold or the rain, I know this is reversed in a 24 hour race because you can’t do anything about that, But on my own I can, and I prefer to cycle in the dry I spent good money on kit and a Bike which I felt I couldn’t afford to drop on a icy or wet road.

Diet verses Non-diet

Diet verses Non-diet

Small changes rather than massive upset to your system.

I have managed to change a lot in my life over the past year, I don't think this could have happened if I had just gone on a diet, having now tried a few I can be happy in myself to call them out and say they are based on getting money, lots of money out of each person that is willing to think they need a diet or special pants, even a machine to wrap around yourself while you eat pizza sat watching TV, none of these are long term, just look at the Z-list celebs that go back to being themselves within weeks of all that personal effort.

The Race Weekend

We set up base camp early being first on site, very keen, very nervous, I went around meeting with many other teams, giving away free thermal mugs and water bottles really helped with this, or it might have been my utter fat lad bare faced cheek, meeting other that didn't have much clue was making me a jolly happy chap, meeting the guys that do the big races was amazing, great tips or so I thought lol.
