Psychology and training

Who could have thought that someone telling you that your able to ride up steep hills while you lay on a sofa could work, yet more and more sports stars of today use these guys, So I thought I’d try it too, Hill's and I have had a hate, hate relationship from day one, along with building speed ok it's getting better buy, I look at the guys I race with and oh boy I need extra work unless of course they want me to give up beer too, pah to that one so off I went to see a brilliant lady that deals with the elite stars of track and Triathletes to see what she could do with myself. The Sceptic.

After just 2 sessions I went for a longer ride than I would prefer London-Windsor-London I live in Berkshire so a bit of a sleep just getting to the start, with a potential drop if you can't keep up I went out and came back with the group just using the little mind tricks this Quack had given me, session 3 while fast asleep the Dr re-jigged the mindset to liking hill's "the fool" so then I decided I needed the hills as none around me, a little trip to Box Hill, and it's harsher mate Leith, I know I’m a short little fat chap with a silly red bike why would I do this ?

I have not a clue, Mindset has been changed, but someone please explain to my poor, poor legs this mind stuff as they now have to suffer from me thinking I can do anything I darn well please, would it work for anyone? Maybe yes I would say, If your super fit you might add speed or distance or if like me a novice that has gone in head first to a sport with the likes of 6 Gold medal superstar Jason Kenny coming past you around race tracks, then almost 99% this would be of some benefit to you, of course if you can train every other day you’re going to be ok, but with my job that is impossible, so this does work, although I doubt you need to spend lots of hard earned money, Me doing this as an experiment means you get to try cheaper options, As really it's all about playing games with your mind, so if you can ride with others that are stronger this will bring you up, or if you have a buddy you trust your life to, then this could be key, sit in a pub, I mean coffee shop and chat about your fears, they know you, they can talk to you in a powerful way, or do what I will do and pay to see a wonderful Quack a Doctor of the mind that lets you sleep while pulling your mind apart then slots it back together bit by bit, I have a few more sessions booked, as I’d like to see where it can get me this could be a bumpy ride, or the positive powers of re-setting the mind might just work.

So far so good I say, I’ll give this post a part 2 over the winter as I plan a trip to the USA to do 4 100 mile races plus of course being the best mobile chicane for the Pro's around Brands Hatch in the Revolve 24 hour.

I really do not want to go back to being a big fat slob of a man, little changes can make a massive difference so I’ll try and write when I can to keep everyone up to date, and of course free to view, please share and help others that are looking to change without wanting to waste money on diets, save that money for new kit or a great night out with mate’s guilt free. Enjoy your day.

My Journey. Beating Cancer & 20stone to a 3100 mile non stop race [Part 1]

My story with Cancer began several years ago, it was always something you heard about, something that happened to elderly or sick people I was to learn something about myself and fast. My 1st experience was with testicular cancer. I was in so much pain that I had to visit the doctor.

My Food

My Food

My Food: Your questions to me answered. The way I started to cook. As the numbers in my social media grow, I get a lot of messages about what I eat, More importantly what I did eat at the start of my journey which is probably more help than what I eat now, as I tend to stuff my little fat face before I do any challenge.
